Compass Automation mit Sitz in Elgin, IL, ist ein Auftragsfertiger, der sich auf die Entwicklung, den Bau und die Wartung komplexer Automatisierungssysteme zur Optimierung von Fertigungsprozessen spezialisiert hat. Compass hat vor kurzem ein robotergest\u00fctztes Entgratungssystem entwickelt, das die radial nachgiebigen Entgratungswerkzeuge von ATI nutzt, um \u00fcbersch\u00fcssigen Kunststoff von Werkst\u00fccken zu entfernen. Das automatische Entgratungssystem wurde entwickelt, um geformte Sicherungsbl\u00f6cke im Werk von Marathon Special Products in Bowling Green, OH, zu identifizieren und zu entgraten. Der Einsatz der Automatisierung anstelle der manuellen Entgratung verbessert die Produktivit\u00e4t, die Konsistenz und die Sicherheit bei der Entgratung.


Das System bei Marathon besteht aus vier manuell beladenen Zuf\u00fchrschlitten, die die Teile in das System einf\u00fchren. Vorrichtungen auf linearen Schlitten erm\u00f6glichen es dem Bediener, die Teile in eine feste Position zu bringen. Der Bediener dr\u00fcckt eine Ber\u00fchrungstaste, die ein auf einem Linearantrieb montiertes \u00dcberkopf-Vision-Kamerasystem aufruft. Die Kamera nimmt das Teil auf und identifiziert es f\u00fcr das Entgraten. Nach der Aufnahme bewegt ein Linearantrieb das Teil zu einem von zwei FANUC LR Mate 200iC Robotern, die mit ATI RC-340 Robotic Deburring Tools ausgestattet sind. Der Roboter entgratet dann das Teil und erspart dem Bediener die ergonomischen und qualitativen Schwierigkeiten, die mit der Entgratung von Hand verbunden sind. Wenn der Roboter die Entgratung des Teils abgeschlossen hat, gleitet die Vorrichtung zum Bediener zur\u00fcck und wird entriegelt. Die fertigen Teile werden dann manuell entladen. Dieses Verfahren sch\u00fctzt den Bediener vor Verletzungen und erm\u00f6glicht es Marathon Special Products, mit den Produktivit\u00e4tsanforderungen Schritt zu halten.

Die Roboter-Entgratungswerkzeuge von ATI erm\u00f6glichten es Marathon Special Products, Kunststoff-Sicherungsbl\u00f6cke erfolgreich zu entgraten, obwohl diese von Teil zu Teil in ihren Abmessungen variierten. Die in das Entgratungswerkzeug eingebaute Nachgiebigkeit erm\u00f6glicht es ihm, sich entsprechend anzupassen, um den Teilen eine gleichm\u00e4\u00dfige Oberfl\u00e4che zu verleihen. Diese Funktion erm\u00f6glicht einen gleichm\u00e4\u00dfigen Materialabtrag und reduziert den Produktionsabfall, was Zeit und Geld spart.


Die ATI-Ingenieure haben drei Arten von nachgiebigen Werkzeugen entwickelt, die automatisierte Entgratungs- und Endbearbeitungszellen zu einem sicheren, gleichm\u00e4\u00dfigen und wirtschaftlichen Prozess machen. Radial-nachgiebige (RC) Entgratungswerkzeuge: Diese auch als Flexdeburr bekannten Entgratungswerkzeuge sind robuste, turbinengetriebene Einheiten zum Entgraten einer Vielzahl von Materialien mit einem Roboter oder einer CNC-Maschine. Sie eignen sich besonders f\u00fcr die Entfernung von Trennfugen oder Graten an Teilen. Dank ihrer flexiblen Konstruktion k\u00f6nnen sie jedoch f\u00fcr eine Vielzahl von Anwendungen eingesetzt werden. Axial-nachgiebige (ACT) Finishing-Werkzeuge: Diese auch als VersaFinish bekannten Finishing-Werkzeuge sind robuste Druckluftwerkzeuge mit niedriger Drehzahl und hohem Drehmoment und einer axial schwimmenden Spindel, die sich f\u00fcr eine Vielzahl von robotergest\u00fctzten und nicht robotergest\u00fctzten Materialfinish-Operationen an Aluminium, Kunststoff, Stahl und anderen Materialien eignen. Axial nachgiebige (AC) Entgratungswerkzeuge: Diese auch als Speedeburr bekannten Entgratungswerkzeuge verwenden einen Fl\u00fcgelradmotor und eine schwimmend gelagerte Rotationsschneidfeile zum Kantenentgraten und Anfasen von Teilen durch einen Roboter.
